National Sand Dune Vegetation Survey of Great Britain Site Reports 1990

Abstract

The Coastal Ecology Branch of the Chief Scientist Directorate was established in August 1979. One of the functions of the branch was to co-ordinate a programme of research and survey in the field of terrestrial coastal conservation.

The Sand Dune Survey of Great Britain was initiated by NCC in 1987, and continued by JNCC, and involved a series of strategic site surveys of coastal dune systems.
