UK Marine Biomolecular Group (UK MBG) resources 2026

Abstract

The UK Marine Biomolecular Group (UK MBG) was established by JNCC in September 2024 with a focus on developing and operationalising biomolecular methods for marine statutory and regulatory purposes. Within the scope of this group 'biomolecular' is defined as including environmental DNA and RNA (eDNA/eRNA) and ‘omics (DNA, RNA and protein).

Provided here are the group's Terms of Reference, and an Excel workbook summarising groups and projects relevant to the UK MBG.
