International reporting
The UK is a signatory to a number of international commitments to protect biodiversity, including the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the Bern Convention, the Ramsar Convention, the Convention on Migratory Species (CMS), the OSPAR Convention, and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
These conventions require signatories to report on their progress towards achieving the targets and goals that have been set. For the UK, this requires an integrated response which covers the four countries
