JNCC undertakes a range of data management activities at all stages of a dataset’s life for datasets created through its offshore benthic survey programme. This ensures that the data are well maintained, discoverable and of a high quality.
In order to achieve this, JNCC follows national and international standards where possible and continually develops formal quality check procedures to be undertaken at key stages in the data’s lifecycle.
