Leave entitlement
JNCC annual leave allowance is 25 days per annum. After five years’ service, leave entitlement increases to 30 days per annum.
In addition to annual leave, JNCC offers 12 public and privilege days per annum, three of which are explicitly reserved for office closure between Christmas and New Year.
JNCC also offers paid and unpaid special leave, available by agreement with line managers and in line with JNCC policy.
Part-time employees receive these benefits pro rata.
Pension
Employees will have the opportunity to join Civil Service pension arrangements, which include a valuable range of benefits. JNCC makes a significant average employer contribution of 27% to the cost of employee pensions.
Contributions come out of employee salary before any tax is taken. This means that take-home pay will not be reduced by the full amount of contributions paid. For more information, visit www.civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk.
Alternatively, employees are able to switch to the Partnership pension account, which offers the opportunity of having a 'free' pension. JNCC will pay an age-related contribution and will match any voluntary contributions (up to 3%) paid by the employee. For more information, visit www.legalandgeneral.com.
