Coronavirus update (23 March 2020)
Please note that, due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, both JNCC offices (Aberdeen and Peterborough) are now closed, and all staff are now working remotely. As the offices are closed, please submit your request via electronically via email rather than by post, if possible.
As a result of these arrangements, there may be an impact on delivery of a response to any Freedom of Information or Environmental Information Regulations requests submitted at this time. Please be assured that we will try to deliver the information by the due date, but hope you will understand if there is any delay due to the changed circumstances.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Requests for information we hold are handled under the following legislation and their purpose is to make public bodies, such as JNCC, transparent and accountable. The right to this information is subject to certain exemptions and exceptions.
Freedom of Information Act 2000 – which gives the public a right of access to information held by all public authorities in the UK.
Environmental Information Regulations 2004 – which give the public the right to access environmental information held by public authorities.
If we hold information about you as an individual, you have a right of access to that information. The easiest way to request this information is by contacting the data protection team. We may ask you for proof of your identity. We will respond to your request within one month.
